Trading Recommendations for the Cryptocurrency Market on February 18

Bitcoin is currently under pressure and has returned to the $95,000 range. Ethereum attempted to rise yesterday, with strong buying activity; however, it failed to hold at the $2,800 mark, leading to a decline today toward $2,665.

Meanwhile, Bitcoin's market dominance has increased to approximately 60%, which is 5% higher than a month ago and 12% higher compared to last year. This growth aligns with significant volatility in altcoins like Solana and Litecoin, which have experienced noticeable price fluctuations. Many experts attribute the collapse of the meme coin Libra to a significant drop in investor confidence, further reinforcing the trend of capital moving toward Bitcoin.

Bitcoin's dominance reflects a growing institutional sentiment and highlights the rising involvement of professional investors in digital assets. Conversely, tokens like Solana have faced recent challenges, resulting in a decline in investor confidence.

The heavily retail-driven altcoin market continues to exhibit high volatility. Disappointment surrounding the altcoin season, widely anticipated at the end of last year, has further amplified this volatility.

Regarding intraday strategy in the cryptocurrency market, I will continue to focus on major dips in Bitcoin and Ethereum, anticipating the continuation of the intact medium-term bull market.

For short-term trading, the strategy and conditions are outlined below.

Bitcoin

Buy Scenario

Scenario #1: I plan to buy Bitcoin today upon reaching the entry point of around $96,100, targeting an increase to $97,200. Around $97,200, I will exit purchases and immediately sell on a pullback. Before buying the breakout, confirming that the 50-day moving average is below the current price and that the Awesome Oscillator is in positive territory is essential.

Scenario #2: Bitcoin can also be bought from the lower boundary of $95,500, provided there is no market reaction to its breakout in the opposite direction toward $96,100 and $97,200.

Sell Scenario

Scenario #1: I plan to sell Bitcoin today upon reaching the entry point around $95,500, targeting a decline to $94,700. Around $94,700, I will exit sales and immediately buy on a pullback. Before selling the breakout, confirming that the 50-day moving average is above the current price and that the Awesome Oscillator is in negative territory is crucial.

Scenario #2: Bitcoin can also be sold from the upper boundary of $96,100, provided there is no market reaction to its breakout in the opposite direction toward $95,500 and $94,700.

Ethereum

Buy Scenario

Scenario #1: I plan to buy Ethereum today upon reaching the entry point of around $2,721, targeting an increase to $2,792. Around $2,792, I will exit purchases and immediately sell on a pullback. Before buying the breakout, confirming that the 50-day moving average is below the current price and that the Awesome Oscillator is in positive territory is essential.

Scenario #2: Ethereum can also be bought from the lower boundary of $2,669, provided there is no market reaction to its breakout in the opposite direction toward $2,721 and $2,792.

Sell Scenario

Scenario #1: I plan to sell Ethereum today upon reaching the entry point of around $2,669, targeting a decline to $2,616. Around $2,616, I will exit sales and immediately buy on a pullback. Before selling the breakout, confirming that the 50-day moving average is above the current price and that the Awesome Oscillator is in negative territory is crucial.

Scenario #2: Ethereum can also be sold from the upper boundary of $2,721, provided there is no market reaction to its breakout in the opposite direction toward $2,669 and $2,616.
